The History of Health Care in Mexico and Future Directions under President Andrés Manuel López Obrador

This talk traces the contemporary history of the delivery of health care services by the Mexican state. The discussion is framed by analysis of the values and principles shaping 20th and 21st century public policy. In closing we offer thoughts about what may lie ahead for Mexico’s health.
