Dear Members of the SMA,
A graduate-student driven group of medical anthropologists and SMA members have written a draft statement on behalf of the SMA in solidarity with ongoing strikes in the University of California system. In accordance with our protocols, we would like to offer a period of open commentary during which we would love to receive feedback on the statement. Please provide your comments by January 16, 2023. Afterwards, statement authors will perform revisions prior to a final vote on whether this statement will become an official Takes a Stand Policy Statement of the SMA.
