Case Western Reserve University Transdisciplinary Fellowship in Primary Care Research
Calling clinicians and non-clinicians (e.g., social scientists, public health professionals, and others with doctoral degrees) to join a dynamic, interdisciplinary cohort of emerging leaders in primary care research. The program welcomes diversity in fellows’ backgrounds and interests, and provides flexible training to accommodate this diversity. This prestigious 2-3 year full-time fellowship through Case Western Reserve University is funded by the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). See attached flyer.
Opportunities available to T32 Postdoctoral fellows
- Mentored independent research project in one or more program priority areas

- The mission of the program is to develop leaders who seek to integrate a primary care framework to improve population and public health in the United States.
- Priority areas are (1) Child Health and Policy; (2) Quality of Health and Healthcare; and (3) Health Equity.
- Under the guidance of faculty preceptors, fellows will explore topics in primary care research and its intersection with public health; develop expertise by mastering a content area; gain practical research experience; and train in research methodology. The program encourages fellows to develop and submit applications for independent funding; present research findings at regional and national research meetings; and publish in peer-reviewed journals. US Citizens and permanent residents with MDs, PhDs or with other clinical or nonclinical doctoral degrees in areas such as social science or public health who seek to become leaders in the field of Primary Care Research. We seek to recruit a diverse and synergistic cohort to engage in team learning and collaboration across priority areas. Fellows receive 2-3 years of funding, with the potential to earn a Master’s degree for selected fellows.
