The SMA Dissertation Award is administered by MASA (Medical Anthropology Students Association). The Prize is granted in odd numbered years and is given to the author of a dissertation judged to be a significant and potentially influential contribution to medical anthropology. The award carries a $500 cash prize. For this nomination period, dissertations submitted to the university between the period of July 1, 2017 – April 15, 2019 will be considered. Deadline is April 15.
