Assistant Professor, Global Health Program (GHP) & Anthropology, UCSD

The Global Health Program (GHP) and the Department of Anthropology at the University of California, San Diego invite applications for a position at the rank of Assistant Professor specializing in Psychological/Psychiatric Anthropology and Global Mental Health. The position will require transdisciplinary commitment to research and teaching in the Global Health Program as well as undergraduate and graduate teaching in Psychological and Medical Anthropology. The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in activities of the Center for Global Mental Health, the Global Health Institute, and the School of Medicine. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in anthropology with research expertise that combines ethnographic, qualitative, and quantitative methods. Geographical areas are entirely open, with a preference for anthropological research carried out in low-resource regions. This is a tenure-track assistant professor position beginning July 1, 2018.
