The Karl Mannheim Chair for Cultural Studies invites applications for a Lecturer in Cultural Studies (Sociology)
- We are seeking to appoint for a three year period an exceptional individual to help lead and contribute to research in one of the following areas of strength of the chair: Modern societies as knowledge societies, science studies, consumption, climate and society. We expect a Ph.D. in one of the Social Sciences/Cultural Studies with distinction, a scientific publication record, and the willingness to take part in teaching in the B.A. and M.A. programs at Zeppelin University (in English).
- Starting date is September 2009. Please submit a letter of interest, vitae, copies of two publications and the names of two potential referees. Closing date is July 6 with interviews likely to take place late July/early August 2009.

The Karl Mannheim Chair for Cultural Studies invites applications for a Doctoral Position
- We are seeking to appoint for a three year period an excellent doctoral student to help and contribute to a new EU 'Science in Society' Research Project, "Health Matters: A Social Science and Ethnographic Study of Patient and Professional Involvement in and Representations of the Governance of Health and Medical Knowledge Production (HealthGovMatters)" headed by Jacquelyne Luce, Ph.D. Experience in ethnographic and interview-based research in the areas of health technologies and gender studies is desired.
